Émilie and Sébastien spent a few weeks with us last summer. It was their first time coming to the Naturéo Eco-Resort. They had booked a lovely cottage with their children, Zoé and Théo, so their little tribe could spend a vacation away from everyday life. They wanted a genuine break. A bubble to recharge in. We asked if they'd be willing to tell us what they felt here, and their words really moved us. So we wanted to give you the chance to read them too, since they might echo your own wish to discover Naturéo.

Disconnecting, really disconnecting…

The Naturéo Eco-Resort is, above all, a philosophy: letting yourself be carried by the rhythm of nature and reconnecting with what truly matters. We wanted vacationers who come here, whether for a few days or longer, to find what they often lack in their everyday lives… Time, that inner space to breathe. More energy, more presence for themselves and their family.

So we made sure everything is available right on site, within a natural haven. 13 hectares of protected pine forest, accommodations spaced apart from one another, a relaxing pool, a wide range of activities, the beach just 600 meters away, kids' and teens' clubs, spa treatments, places to eat and shop, and even bike rentals or surf lessons to book.

So everyone has a choice: let themselves be wrapped up in Naturéo's own atmosphere, go explore the surrounding area as the mood takes them, stay on their terrace, do some sport, get a massage, rest… Everyone finds their own inner rhythm and balance, and that's exactly what Émilie experienced.

"You know how it is, when you're caught up in the daily grind… If I listened to myself, I'd take the time to treat myself to a good massage, just to unwind a little. Except, like a lot of moms, I'm running around everywhere. I often get to the end of the day exhausted, and when I see the mountain of things still left to manage, I tell myself 'I'll deal with the massage later.' That's part of what I was looking forward to about our vacation at Naturéo. Having time for myself, and everything right there on site. I was able to book it from my terrace one morning, drinking my coffee in the sun. The massage therapist was simply fabulous. I think back home, I would have already been stressed again within half an hour. Not here. It sounds silly, but the kids are well occupied, having fun, and with our cottage in the pine forest, we disconnect right away. I don't have to manage anything. No meals to plan, no logistics. That setting, that massage… it had been a long time since I'd felt that good about myself. Recharged, really."

Finding yourself again, to better reconnect with the ones you love

The paradox of Naturéo, if we can call it that, is that everyone finds their own space… and that's precisely why the family reconnects. When the kids have their own program, when each adult can really breathe, something loosens up in the way people relate to each other. Conversations shift, people listen better. You laugh at things you wouldn't have noticed in the whirlwind of everyday life, quite simply.

Here, you can live your day at your own pace and come back with something to tell. You can take hours just for yourself or spend time together. And it's often over a meal at La Peña that the day's stories get shared. And that families realize, sometimes to their own surprise, that they've reconnected without even trying.

That's exactly what Sébastien experienced, the same man who told us he tends to show up everywhere with his laptop under his arm!

"I'd brought my laptop 'just in case.' It stayed in the bag! On the second day, I went for a run early in the morning under the pines, and in the afternoon I rented fatbikes with Théo, my youngest. His sister wanted to go to the teen club, so the two of us rode along Bourdaines beach, him out front, pedaling at full speed. When we got back, we sat down on the cottage terrace, just the two of us. It was a beautiful moment with my son. You know, when you feel good and you really reconnect. And I actually realized I hadn't looked at my phone in hours, which never happens."

Zoé, a slightly skeptical teenager, had told herself a week in the forest really wasn't her thing. Naturéo ended up surprising her!

"I thought I'd be bored when my parents told me about an eco-resort vacation. The forest, nature… honestly, that's not really my thing. Then I took surf lessons with the Oxbow Surf School. On the second day, I stood up on the board, actually stood up! In the end, I quickly made friends through the teen club, and we did loads of activities together. Honestly, it was kind of hard to leave at the end."

Émilie, Sébastien, Zoé, and Théo left the way they arrived: together. But with something more. Renewed energy, a lightness they hadn't expected. And above all, the wish to come back… which puts a smile on our faces, so a big thank you to them for sharing their experience and for their trust!
